The Tales of Unearthly Encounters Review!

Image
The Tales of Unearthly Encounters Review  🌟Book Review - 4/5🌟 Blurb -  This book is a collection of several short supernatural stories - stories which should not be categorized as gross horror. These stories are an attempt to bond cosmic horror with psychological horror. They question the basic nature of reality and how it is perceived. They waver somewhere between real and surreal, a misty place which should not be explored even in nightmares.   My Review : The book upend conventional thoughts of what constitutes evil and what's frightening. Each story delivers not so ghostly but unearthly characters to preserve you on feet. It's greater supernatural than full blown horror and with evil timber, monster underneath bed.  Author also hold the same old traditional Indian horror along with modern paranormal horror, however what disappoint is that the book did not efficiently build up an environment of dread. It's too fast paced to construct the basics for the reader. Too so

I picked up this book because of its beautiful eye catchy cover which has a secret revelation of the story hidden in the cover which you can find if you notice sharply. When I started reading the book, I found that the main character's name was Ammara, which is my long term favt for no reason. It made it even more interesting. Coming to the plot, the story begins with a fight between Ammara and Raghav which literally ends up in breakup. I would say that they both were at fault!! She feels really broken and is finding ways to cope-up with it.  That's when her parents make plans for a trip to Thailand, for which she didn't agree earlier and later accepts to travel with them. I should mention that the author brings visuals of Thailand with her beautiful portrayal of plot scenes. Ammara travels to Thailand without knowing the fact that it will be a tur
