Dawn the warrior princess!!

Dawn - the warrior princess Book review πŸ“–πŸ’―

⭐My rating - 4/5⭐

The book " Dawn- the warrior princess of Kashmir" is a unique fantasy Novel written by Author Rakesh Kaul.

Kashmir is a eye catchy place. What comes to our mind when we think about Kashmir? It's beauty and the border terrorism. Apart from that we forget to look deeper. This book brings out the other side of Kashmir.

The story is set in 3000AD, which revolves around the girl - Dawn, a 16 year girl who is depicted as the only living girl in her kingdom. She has lived her life hiding at a Pod in trans - Himalayas.

Where in she gets to see two strange creatures (Yuva & Kira) on her 16th birthday. This is were the story begins to be interesting.

They ask her to battle the Troika, and claim her as a long lost princess.

Their comes the part of a  Trio - Dushita (overlord), Alman (AI machine) and Arman (merciless pioneer), who have controlled everything so long. The story talks about an Apocalypse, the world is heading to. In which all women die and men lose their spirits.

She sets up a war with a group of five outlaw boys inorder to bring out her power to become the warrior princess.

Is she really a warrior princess? What happens next? Did she decide the fate of the world?

This book is a unique sci-fi fantasy thriller. It is slow paced and with gradual plot development, Author has put forth many interesting things. It is not a beginner friendly book as the plot is a bit complicated to understand on the first go. I re-read some pages for proper understanding. Overall it was a fantasy - good read!!

  2. Oh My God the review you wrote for this book, is instigating me to look back to recall my school days history book pages where we read about Troika. But is that the same story or something different. I am curious to know the climax of the story and will read the book soon.
